Win Makes Chicago 36-19

The first-place Chicago Phantoms picked up another win.
The Chicago Phantoms beat the San Francisco Friars, 7-4, at Foster Field. Kanehisa Nishimoto, who is tied for 3rd in the WC with a .345 batting average, starred for Chicago. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Bryan Walker, who went 5 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 3-3.
With Chicago leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Nishimoto hit a fastball from Cruz Ponce for a 3-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Phantoms ahead, 4-0.
"Nice win for us," said Nishimoto. "Now we'll go after the next one."
The Phantoms have an impressive 36-19 record.
