At Staples Field, the Vancouver Wolves and San Francisco Friars were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The San Francisco Friars defeated the Vancouver Wolves by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to pitcher Lyalya Markosiants. Markosiants threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the Friars on the day. Earning his 10th save of the year was Jeff Boffa.

Migdônio Ervilhosa had a big grand slam home run for the Friars in the bottom of the second inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a slider from Anton Rochambeau, who finished 3rd in the EC in strikeouts with 255 in 2073, and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Friars on top, 5-0.

"The vibe's good," said San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan. "We've got to keep it going."

The Friars, at 34-21, sit in first place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.
