Avispas Suffer One-Run Loss at Boston
|
The Boston Greens picked up a win at Arrington Park, defeating the Santiago Avispas, 2-1. Starting pitcher Vismay Falcon was an essential part of his team's success. The Greens raised their record to 22-32.
Victor Salazar had a big solo home run for the Greens in the bottom of the second inning. With Boston leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a sinker from Allan Tinter, who is tied for 4th in the EC with a 10.2 K/9 rate, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Greens ahead, 2-0.
"We found a way to get it done," Falcon said.
