Denver Makes It 7 Straight with 5-2 Win
San Diego got a terrific performance from pitcher Matt Rook, but it wasn't enough to beat the Denver Glaciers. Denver won the Seaward Stadium contest, 5-2. Rook threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Denver reliever Francisco Sequeira got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Julio Olivo was tagged with the loss. The first-place Glaciers have won 7 in a row.

Jason Gonzalez came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The center fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We've been playing some good baseball," Gonzalez told the Denver Daily News. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
