Washington got a valiant performance from pitcher Alberto Zamora, but it wasn't enough to beat the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas won the game, 4-2. Zamora threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. With the win, Las Vegas raised its record to 29-25.

Las Vegas used a timely hit from Josh Newlin to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aces ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Newlin told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
