Glaciers Pick Up 1-0 Win Over San Diego
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Denver Glaciers and San Diego Destroyers.

Ringo Pineiro, who is tied for 7th in the WC in quality starts with 7, imposed his will on the Destroyers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 Denver triumph. Pineiro got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Jeremy Lanham earned the save for Denver, his 8th.

Edgar Albuja, who is tied for 2nd in the WC in runs scored with 38, had a direct impact on the outcome. Albuja contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put Denver up, 1-0.
