Portland first baseman Alex Guilzar had a good game, even if his team did not. The Dragons dropped a 6-4 decision to Los Angeles at Stars Ballpark. Guilzar was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. Jose Nunez got the win, improving to 1-1. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 6 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. The save went to Miguel Torrez, his 16th this season.

First Baseman Ramiro Perez made an impact for Los Angeles, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Tsunesaburo Kai in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Perez went 1 for 5 with a triple.

"Enjoyed this one," Perez told the Los Angeles Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
