Twins Win, 5-4, Over Las Vegas

The Cincinnati Twins faced a tough opponent in Las Vegas pitcher Pierre Prent, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Western Coliseum by a final score of 5-4. Prent went 5.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning pitcher was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Adamczyk. He tossed 93 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Brad Jenkins, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Tanner Minty to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Twins ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Minty told the Cincinnati News.
The loss makes Las Vegas 28-25.
