San Diego 34-19 After 5-3 Victory

The San Diego Destroyers picked up a win at Western Coliseum, knocking off the Las Vegas Aces, 5-3. Starting pitcher Matt Rook was a big reason why. Teh-huai Yap got the save, the 6th for him this season. San Diego is now 34-19, while Las Vegas is 23-30.
It could have been a different outcome for San Diego, had it not been for Tony de Jesus, the 23-year old center fielder . de Jesus contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Diego up, 2-1.
"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian.
