The Tucson Toros picked up a win at Aetna Stadium, knocking off the Las Vegas Aces, 5-2. Starting pitcher Taxi Sabala was a big reason why. In 6.2 innings, Sabala surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. The win elevated the Toros to 29-25.

The Toros got a big at-bat from shortstop Kinnon Lilly. For the game, Lilly went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Tucson a 2-0 lead.
