Good production from center fielder David Espaillat helped the Minneapolis Vikings topple the Cincinnati Twins, 7-2. Espaillat went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Vikings. Tetsukazu Kaneda earned the win to go to 4-3. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Minneapolis now sits at 26-25, while Cincinnati falls to 21-30.

With Minneapolis leading 4-1 in the bottom of the seventh, Espaillat hit a changeup from Theo Campbell for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Vikings ahead, 7-1.
