Rangers Raise Rally Flag, Beat Santiago, 3-1
|
Josh Breaux pitched a gem to lead Buffalo to victory over the Santiago Avispas, 3-1. Hector Venni earned the save for Buffalo, his 4th of the year. Buffalo now owns a record of 32-19.
Buffalo used the timely hitting of Joel Steadman to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Steadman called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
