San Francisco Friars starter Kelvin Vaquera turned in an exceptional performance against the Seattle Arrows at Staples Field, resulting in a San Francisco win, 6-1. The second-place Friars lifted their record to 29-24.

Vaquera kept the Arrows under his thumb. He scattered 5 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 8. The right-hander upped his season record to 6-3.

"I felt like I had pretty good command of mostly everything," said Vaquera.
