Destroyers Win Streak Now at 6 After 1-0 Victory
San Diego used a superb performance from starting pitcher Johnny Veenstra to down the Los Angeles Stars, 1-0. Julio Olivo earned the save, his 10th. The defeat makes Los Angeles 30-22.

The Destroyers got a big at-bat from right fielder Jose Gonzales. For the game, Gonzales went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave San Diego a 1-0 lead.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Veenstra.
