Testaverde, Aces Serve Up 6-3 Win
|
Jacob Testaverde, who is tied for 8th in the WC in RBI with 103, knocked in all 6 runs for the Las Vegas Aces, helping them beat the San Antonio Angels, 6-3. Rafael Salabarria, the winner, improved to 14-8. He held the Angels to 3 runs on 6 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The Aces now have a record of 93-69.
Testaverde had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Wiley Moore, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Aces a 5-2 lead. It was the 32nd home run of the year for Testaverde.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Testaverde. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
