Thunderbirds Win, Lee hits 2 home runs
The Phoenix Thunderbirds defeated the Alaska Kodiaks, 7-4, at Legednary Park. Phoenix was led by slugging third baseman Min-yul Lee, who slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Eikki Hostikka, the winning pitcher, improved to 4-12. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 4. The win has Phoenix at 62-99.

With Phoenix leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Lee hit a fastball from Les Ralph for a 2-run home run. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Lee. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
