The Denver Glaciers claimed a close win over the Chicago Phantoms, due in large part to Alejandro Silva. The Denver right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Denver is now 23-28, while Chicago is 25-26.

Alexjandria Leija, who is tied for 6th in the WC in doubles with 16, had a direct impact on the outcome. Leija contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put Denver up, 2-0.

"Alejandro can pitch. He moves the ball around," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
