San Francisco Gets 6-3 Win Versus Las Vegas in 11
|
The San Francisco Friars picked up a win at Western Coliseum, dropping the Las Vegas Aces, 6-3, in 11 innings. Filiberto Ciriaco was the difference-maker. Joe Drum earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. His record is now 4-5. At 82-79, the Friars claim third place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Bobby Rojas to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Friars on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Every game matters," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt. "I'm really amplifying that message."
