Washington got an elite performance from starting pitcher Toby Harrison in securing a 1-0 decision over the St. Louis Gaedels. Julio Mendoza earned the save for Washington, his 33rd. The Senators improved their record to 63-98 by beating St. Louis.

Harrison gave Washington a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.

"Toby pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Washington manager Josh Cooan.
