Bill Snelgrove was terrific for the Kansas City Athletics in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Minneapolis Vikings. His performance earned Snelgrove rave reviews. The setback makes Minneapolis 63-98.

Snelgrove was effective against the Vikings, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Minneapolis to just 1 run on 4 hits over 8.2 innings.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Snelgrove said.
