The bats were silent much of the day at Brown Town. But slugging first baseman Jose Buezo produced just enough offense to carry the Browns past the Montreal Harfangs, 3-0. Buezo went 3-4 with 2 home runs. The save went to Jorge Baeza, number 2 for him. The Browns go to 86-74, putting them third in the Eastern Conference Antonio Detorres Division.

With Brooklyn leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Buezo came up to bat against Montreal pitcher Elmo Fasanaro. Buezo hit a changeup to left-center for a solo home run. His 40th home run of the season put the Browns on top, 2-0.

"Winning is contagious," said Buezo. "We're looking forward to the next game."
