Kitano Goes Cycling
|
Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Foster Field. Koson Kitano of the Vancouver Wolves accomplished the feat against Chicago Phantoms.
Kitano went 4-for-4 with 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 9-7 Vancouver victory.
"That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Kitano said after the game.
Kitano also scored 3 runs and had 4 RBI in a day to remember for both Kitano and the crowd at Foster Field.
Koson Kitano hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Ricardo Riveron in the 8th.
At present, Kitano is batting .251 with 107 hits and 11 home runs. He has knocked in 49 runs and scored 42 times.
