Kings Net 4-2 Win
|
Baltimore pitcher Dong-u Jee did his part in helping his team defeat the Washington Senators, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Ocean Mendoza nailed down his 20th save. The 4th-place Kings hiked their record to 75-85.
Ko Kuroda, who is on pace for 108 RBI this season, took Washington hurler Axel Maisonneuve deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Kings on top, 2-0. In all, Kuroda had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
Baltimore manager Brad Carpenter was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
