5 Straight Wins for Glaciers
|
Though he had a stellar game, Donner Munro could not prevent his team, the Portland Dragons, from losing, 5-3, to the Denver Glaciers. Munro was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Glaciers, at 76-84, have now won 5 straight.
Kanehisa Nishimoto came through with a big-time hit for Denver. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
