Spectres Fall, 11-6, to Amavizca, Rangers
|
Willy Amavizca had a big hand in the 11-6 Buffalo triumph over Philadelphia. He rattled off 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scoring 2 times and knocking in 2 runs. Buffalo reliever Adam Mimnaugh snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Miguel Romero shouldered the loss. Buffalo now sports a record of 90-70.
In the bottom of the eighth, the Rangers grabbed the lead when Amavizca hit his 43rd double of the season. The 2-run double off Miguel Romero made it 7-6, Buffalo.
In comments to the Buffalo Herald, Amavizca insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
