Tom Seymour, who is tied for 5th in the EC in wins with 15, had a strong outing for the Boston Greens against the Montreal Harfangs at Mount Royal Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Seymour picked up the win for Boston, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 15-7. Zach Baiza, who is tied for 4th in the EC in saves with 26, earned the save for Boston.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when third baseman Jessie McMenemy, who finished 3rd in the WC in slugging percentage with .577 in 2067, hit a double. The Greens went on to win.
"All in all, I thought Tom pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Boston manager Matt Glazer.
The defeat makes Montreal 87-72.
