|
San Francisco parlayed a decent outing from starter Shaun Chugh into a solid win over the Las Vegas Aces. The final score was 6-4. The winner was Chugh. He threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Aaron Hendsbee. Cruz Ponce got credit for the save for San Francisco. It was his 12th of the year.
San Francisco took a 5-3 lead on Lyalya Markosiants's 8th triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which Markosiants hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher David Calzacorta visibly frustrated.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Markosiants told the San Francisco Observer.
At 78-81, San Francisco is in third place in the Western Conference Nala Forcelledo Division.
