The Las Vegas Aces overcame a good performance by Chicago shortstop Ron Jollymour to knock off Chicago, 6-5, at Western Coliseum. Jollymour went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The save was credited to Roberto Banda, his 3rd. Las Vegas's record now stands at 78-81, placing them 4th in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.

The Aces got a big hit from shortstop Manichiro Kawasaki. Facing Chicago pitcher Jason Mouland in the bottom of the sixth, Kawasaki pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 20th double of the season put the Aces ahead, 6-1.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Kawasaki.
