Rangers Fall, 6-1, to San Francisco
|
Kelvin Vaquera pitched a gem in leading San Francisco to a 6-1 victory over the Buffalo Rangers. San Francisco is now 80-78.
Bobby Rojas had a big 3-run home run for the Friars in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from Allan Tinter and swatted a home run to right. It was his 27th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Friars ahead, 4-0.
"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Rojas told the San Francisco Daily News.
