Thunderbirds Deal Athletics 8-5 Setback
|
Er Hsiao led Phoenix to a win over Kansas City. The final score was 8-5. The designated hitter had a huge performance. He whacked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Johnny Wickwire earned his 4th save, after closing out the game. With the win, Phoenix goes to 79-80, while the Athletics fall to 60-99.
Tan Liu had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Phoenix. With the bases loaded and the Thunderbirds leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Hsiao. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
