The Minneapolis Vikings got great pitching from 14-year veteran Richard Samayoa, allowing them to bump off the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 3-0. Jose Miera earned the save, his 2nd. With the win over Phoenix, the Vikings improved to 63-95.

Samayoa was the winner. He's now 11-9, after putting the Phoenix offense in a vise grip. Over 8.2 innings, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while racking up 7 Ks.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Samayoa.
