The Vancouver Wolves wiggled past the San Antonio Angels, 3-2, at Fox-Chong Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Vancouver pitcher Danford Brier. Brier, who is tied for 7th in the WC in complete games with 1, went the distance for Vancouver. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. Vancouver is 82-76 and San Antonio, with the loss, 67-91.
The Wolves got a clutch hit from first baseman Er Hsiao. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Wolves.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Hsiao said.
