Hrinko Swings Rangers to 9-5 Win
Matty Hrinko powered the Buffalo Rangers to a win over the San Francisco Friars. The final score was 9-5. The Buffalo left fielder, who finished 5th in the EC in on-base percentage with .403 in 2079, was phenomenal. He stroked 3 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 2 doubles. Pablo Alvarez, the winner, improved to 5-4. He held the Friars to 3 runs on 4 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 5. Nees van Santen recorded his 3rd save for Buffalo.

Buffalo grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Hrinko hit a run-scoring double off Salvatore Pino. His 28th double of the season put the Rangers out in front, 3-2.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Hrinko told the Buffalo Herald.

The win makes Buffalo 89-68.
