Big Game from Klabunde Not Enough, Kings Lose
The St. Louis Gaedels weathered a fine game by Baltimore right fielder Robbie Klabunde to upend the Kings, 9-7, at Veeck Park. Klabunde hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. With the win, St. Louis has a record of 84-73. Baltimore falls to 82-74.

Edwin Valenzuela chipped in for St. Louis, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the bottom of the eighth inning. For the game, the second baseman was 2-4 with a triple, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on," said Valenzuela.
