Thunderbirds Earn 10-4 Win Versus Los Angeles
|
Phoenix picked up a win at Stars Ballpark, bumping off the Los Angeles Stars, 10-4. Pitcher Bobby Sanchez was a major reason the Thunderbirds emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Sanchez, now 13-10. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 3. With the win, Phoenix upped its record to 80-77.
Jose Lima hit a run-scoring triple off Jordan Viera in the top of the first, which put the Thunderbirds in front, 1-0. Lima had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 6.
