New York right fielder Bob Rogers Jr. was instrumental in helping the Titans triumph, 10-6, over the Brooklyn Browns. Rogers Jr. was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. New York reliever Luis Erazo snagged the win, upping his record to 4-3. Harold Ruspoli shouldered the loss. New York is third in the Eastern Conference Zounes Kamuzu Division with a record of 79-77.

Rogers Jr. contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New York in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 5-3, Rogers Jr. took a fastball from Irakly Alvarez and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Titans to leap in front, 6-5.

"I like the roll we're on," said New York manager Nate Beckman.
