Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Stars
|
Los Angeles got a strong outing from Mike Merdinger as the Stars defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 2-0, at Stars Ballpark. Zach Baiza recorded his 5th save for Los Angeles. Los Angeles has a record of 100-57, placing them first in the Western Conference Manny Muro Division.
Los Angeles took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Bobby Badeaux hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Stars fans to their feet.
"We did just enough to win," Merdinger said.
