|
San Antonio Angels pitcher Andres Carrasquillo whisked his team past the Vancouver Wolves, 5-1. Earning his 24th save for San Antonio was Lazaro Saez. San Antonio now sits at 47-110, while Vancouver falls to 62-95.
San Antonio used the timely hitting of Leandro Cid to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Angels on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Cid.
