Billy Zaffuto was nothing short of phenomenal for the Las Vegas Aces. The 27-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the Chicago Phantoms, 7-0. Las Vegas, at 77-80, holds down 4th place in the Western Conference Felipe Solorzo Division.

Manichiro Kawasaki had a big 2-run double for the Aces in the bottom of the first inning. With Las Vegas leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Jarrod Beckman, who is tied for 7th in the WC with a 8.6 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aces ahead, 3-0.

"We had a nice day," said Las Vegas skipper Justin Coroian.
