Dragons Earn 4-3 Win Versus Destroyers
Portland Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Portland Dragons and San Diego Destroyers.

Wil Campos, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2073 draft, was locked in. The left-hander led the Portland Dragons to a 4-3 win against the San Diego Destroyers at Portland Park. Jeff Makowka picked up the win in relief. Masaru Uno took the loss for San Diego.

Had Brick Dickerson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Dickerson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Dragons.

"Bottom line," said San Diego skipper Steve Alstadt, "we didn't play well enough to win."

The Dragons now have a record of 75-82.
