The Alaska Kodiaks beat the Portland Dragons, 6-2, in 10 innings at Portland Park. Alaska right fielder Matthew Hinojosa had an outstanding performance. He was 1-1 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Alaska pitcher Juneau Beauchamp earned the win, hiking his record to 4-3. Wil Campos suffered the loss. Alaska is now 87-70, while Portland is 83-74.

Hinojosa had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a full count fastball from Wil Campos, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Kodiaks a 5-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Hinojosa.

Alaska manager Alex King was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
