Juggernauts Get Dramatic 4-3 Triumph
|
The Toronto Juggernauts wiggled past the Portland (E) Lobster, 4-3, in 11 innings at Molson Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Toronto pitcher Bob Villarreal. The 4th-place Juggernauts sport a record of 69-87.
Toronto got a game-changing hit from Tillmam Velado. The right fielder blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.
"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Juggernauts manager Marc Arnold. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
