Senators Prevail, 3-1, Over Cincinnati
|
In a tight contest between the Washington Senators and the Cincinnati Twins, Eliecer Cervantes was the determining factor. The Washington right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. The win puts Washington at 64-92.
The Senators got a big at-bat from catcher Eddie Leahy. For the game, Leahy was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 11th double of the season gave Washington a 3-1 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Leahy told the Washington Gazette.
