Stars Get Clutch Win Versus Minneapolis
The Los Angeles Stars turned back the Minneapolis Vikings, 4-3, at Stars Ballpark. Chris Brankin, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. The Stars go to 97-59, putting them first in the Western Conference Brian Boots Division.

Claire Wagemaker-Pell was the walk-off hero for Los Angeles. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stars designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This game had its share of tense moments," Brankin said, postgame.
