Pineda belts 2 home runs to Light Vikings Fuse
|
The 5-RBI night of right fielder Tony Pineda, who is rated as the 56th best prospect by BNN, helped the Minneapolis Vikings triumph, 10-5, over the Baltimore Kings. Johnny Veenstra, the winner, goes to 3-4. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts over 6.2 innings. The Vikings improved their record to 25-25 with the win over Baltimore.
With no one out in the bottom of the first, Tohru Asano put Minneapolis in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Vikings went on to win the ballgame.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Pineda told the Minneapolis Herald.
