Great Effort by Wolves 3B Arruebarrena Not Enough in 5-4 Loss
The Las Vegas Aces spoiled a good performance by Vancouver third baseman Yenier Arruebarrena, bumping off Vancouver, 5-4, at Fox-Chong Park. Arruebarrena slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The win went to Freddie Fel in relief, making him now 6-7. Jesus Ortiz took the loss for Vancouver. Jose Castillo earned the save, his 27th.

Las Vegas took a 5-4 lead on Scott Flynn's 21st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Flynn hit in the top of the eighth, left Vancouver pitcher Jesus Ortiz visibly frustrated.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Vancouver manager Matt Libid.

By defeating Vancouver, the second-place Aces improved to 88-67.
