Kodiaks Stick Glaciers with 5-4 Loss
|
Alaska parlayed a decent outing from starter Quinn Topp into a solid win over the Denver Glaciers. The final score was 5-4. Javy Granillo earned his 5th save in 6 chances. With the win, the Kodiaks improved to 85-70.
Alaska used a well-timed hit by Felix Perez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Kodiaks ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I like our moxie," said Kodiaks manager Alex King.
