Cyclones Post 4-3 Win Over St. Louis
|
Miami pitcher Jeremy Fitch had a large part in his team beating the St. Louis Gaedels, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the victory, the Cyclones record stands at 63-92.
Miami used a well-timed hit by Alonzo Armijo to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.
Armijo said his team "played with focus and determination."
