Phoenix wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Matt Nyholm, falling to the Tucson Toros, 5-2. Nyholm threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. The 'W' lifts Tucson's record to 68-87.

Some sloppy defense hurt the Thunderbirds. In the bottom of the eighth, with Tucson trailing 2-1, Eliecer Enriquez was at the plate when Tucson scored 2 on an error. The miscue enabled the Toros to go in front, 3-2.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Enriquez.
