Badeaux Swings Stars to 13-4 Win
The Los Angeles Stars marched over the Minneapolis Vikings, 13-4, at Stars Ballpark. Bobby Badeaux, who finished 4th in the WC in doubles with 51 in 2073, led the charge. He went 4-4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Mike Merdinger picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-3. He struck out 7 in 8.2 innings. Los Angeles is now 95-59.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Danny Grass came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Minneapolis pitcher Shunsen Maekawa, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Los Angeles on top, 6-4.

"It's always fun to score a lot of runs," said Badeaux.
