Eddie Simon, who finished 3rd in the EC in doubles with 54 in 2075, led Kansas City to a triumph over Minneapolis. The final score was 10-6. The second baseman went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 2 runs and added 2 RBI. With the win over Minneapolis, the Athletics improved to 91-63.

Kansas City used a clutch at-bat from Chris Horn to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Athletics ahead, 7-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Kansas City manager Joe Monagle.
