The Portland Dragons earned a win at Tundradome, stopping the Alaska Kodiaks, 4-2. Starting pitcher Luis Basurto played a big role in his team's success. Jesse Czaplicki locked down his 15th save. The Dragons, at 96-58, have now won 4 straight.

Portland relied on the bat of Mike Pitts to get the win. The left fielder produced a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dragons ahead, 4-2. For the game, Pitts had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Dragons manager Greg Carpenter, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
