Cyclones Jolt Senators, 2-0, with Late Rally
|
In a tight tilt between the Miami Cyclones and the Washington Senators, Luis Collaso was the deciding factor. The Miami left-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. This win makes it 5 in a row for Miami.
Had Cole Roberts Jr. not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Roberts Jr. hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Cyclones.
Washington manager Josh Cooan, after the game, said, "Right now, we're just not getting that big hit."
