Gaedels Walk It Off for 81st Win of Season
The St. Louis Gaedels topped the Washington Senators by a score of 7-4. Leading the way was first baseman Tatsuma Matsuura. Matsuura was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Gaedels. The Gaedels now own a record of 81-72.

St. Louis got a clutch hit from Manny Sagastisado. The third baseman launched a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Matsuura said.
