Vancouver Wolves starter Jose Uresti found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the Portland Dragons. Getting the save was Javier Piloto, his 2nd. The last-place Wolves lifted their record to 21-30.

Itsuro Hirano went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Vancouver. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Justin Kurth. It was his 8th walk of the season.
